CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – The 2026 General Election has officially entered the voting stage.

Early in-person voting begins today, Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the Cibola County Clerk’s Office in Grants. Absentee ballots can also begin being mailed to voters who have requested them.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, but Cibola County voters have several opportunities to cast a ballot before then.

According to Cibola County Clerk Natalie Grine, early voting begins at the Cibola County Clerk’s Office, 700 E. Roosevelt Ave., Suite 50, Grants.

The Clerk’s Office will offer early voting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 6-9, Oct. 13-16, Oct. 19-23 and Oct. 26-30. On the final day of early voting, Saturday, Oct. 31, voting will be available there from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Additional early voting locations will open later this month:

• Grants Recreation Center, 551 Washington Ave. — Oct. 17 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; Oct. 20-24 and Oct. 27-31 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

• Laguna Tribal Building, 22 Capital Road — Oct. 24 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; Oct. 26 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; Oct. 27 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

• Ramah Chapter House, 419 BIA Route 125, Pinehill — Oct. 28-30 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Oct. 6 is also the deadline to register to vote by mail or online for the General Election. Same-day registration remains available during early voting and on Election Day under New Mexico election procedures.

The last day the Cibola County Clerk’s Office will mail absentee ballots is Oct. 20. Early voting ends Saturday, Oct. 31.

Voters should also take time before voting to review the races and questions that will appear on their ballot. This year’s ballot includes county, legislative and judicial contests as well as four proposed constitutional amendments and three statewide bond questions.

Because some races depend on where a voter lives, individual ballots will not necessarily contain every contest being decided in Cibola County.

Voters can check their registration information, view voting information and review their ballot through NMVote.org.
