CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M.

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – On Dec. 2 a fast-moving winter storm dropped snow across the county, including on Interstate 40. The suddenly snowy roads made driving conditions dangerous and resulted in a series of car accidents on I-40 through Cibola County. Several semi-trucks went off the road and traffic became backed up for hours on the road, Cibola County Sheriff’s Deputies, Milan Police officers and Grants Police helped to respond to the resulting accidents. Sheriff Tony Mace encourages drivers to check up on conditions of the road and take extra caution when driving when its snowing or there is already snow on the ground. Courtesy photo
