DWI Sobriety Checkpoints and Saturation Patrols for the Month of August

The Cibola County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting DWI sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols within Cibola County, New Mexico during the month of August 2022. We are bringing awareness to these events in an effort to reduce alcohol related crashes and fatalities through continued media attention and intensive advertising. These checkpoints are helping to change society’s attitude about drinking and driving. We remind motorists that “Hundreds of New Mexico State Citizen’s lives could be saved each year if every driver had the courage to make the right decision not to drink and drive.”
