GRANTS, NM – This weekend marked the official Grand Opening of Tractor Supply Co. in Grants. The Grand Opening was held on Saturday June 17, and celebrated a new business coming to the Grants area.
Store Manager Brenda Little spoke about the importance of businesses such as Tractor Supply being in small towns such as Grants, “It brings opportunity to the community” She spoke about how with Tractor Supply now being in Grants, individuals don’t have to travel as far as they did before to get their necessary supplies.
Little spoke about how the city decided to bring Tractor Supply to the area, “We did a survey, just to see if the community would want us to be here. Overwhelmingly it was, yes, we need you here, we need what you have to sell, our animals need it, our community needs it. I think the town is ready to see a boost in life.” Little says that this is just the start of more businesses coming to the area.
Now that tractor supply is officially opened, Little wants to get her team situated and ready for challenges ahead. Little stated, “We need to get our store filled… we’ve been working to get the right product assortment… We’re here, we’re excited, but it just might take a little time to get settled.” The current team at tractor supply is 20-25 personnel, they are currently trying to establish who’s working what hours, and whether it be part-time or full-time.
Little spoke about what she wanted the community to know, “We want to be their one stop shop for everything, we want to be the place that feels like home when they walk in the door, that you feel welcome when you walk in. We want to be a part of the community and help the local businesses and help the local charities, and help the local 4-H clubs, and rodeos. That’s what we are here to do is just really be a part of the community, be as loud as we can and have a lot of fun and work hard.”
Tractor Supply is located at 1605 Vicki Drive, Grants, NM. Their hours of operation are from Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. except on Sundays they are open until 7 p.m.
