Grants Fire and Rescue

Grants Fire and Rescue, Milan Fire Department, and the Cibola County Fire Command arrived at the site of a crash down Mount Taylor in the morning of July 5. No fatalities were reported, alcohol and high speeds are suspected as factors in the crash. Responders arrived on scene around 7:40 a.m. and discovered that the car had gone off the road before it hit a tree and rolled. One of the passengers was airlifted from the scene, another was taken by ambulance to Cibola General Hospital.
