GRANTS, N.M. – The Grants MainStreet Project Inc. is calling on the community to participate in a vital survey about the revitalization of the downtown area.

This project is made possible by the Great Blocks Project, an initiative aimed at transforming Grants’ MainStreet District into a more vibrant and inviting space for shoppers, tourists, and neighbors. The project focuses on enhancing walkability, improving streetscapes, supporting local businesses, fostering community engagement, and driving economic development.

Denise Hanson, Executive Director of the Grants MainStreet Project Inc., expressed her enthusiasm for the survey. “We’re excited to hear from the community and work together to create a safer, more visually appealing public space,” she said.

Hanson and her team are making concerted efforts to ensure everyone in Grants has a chance to share their perspectives.

To take this survey, MainStreet has provided a handful of ways, so it is accessible to all of Grants. Surveys can be accessed by visiting grantsmainstreetproject. com/greatblocks- project.

For those who prefer the pen and paper experience, a special opportunity to participate in person will be available at the Cibola Senior Citizens Center on Wednesday, January 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Hanson said she understands that some residents haven’t seen the flyers or social media posts promoting the survey. In response, efforts are being made to expand outreach, including distributing hard copies of the survey to the Senior Center and other locations.

The Great Blocks Project is an opportunity for the residents of Grants to create a more connected and welcoming MainStreet District. Your feedback is crucial to shaping the vision of your downtown.

Don’t miss your chance to share your thoughts and contribute to the future of Grants!
