GRANTS, N.M. – Fall activities continued at the Grants Public Library last week with crafts, storytime, puzzles and more community programming for local families.

Wildflower Circle met Sept. 15, where children made pet rocks and coffee-filter butterflies.

Tot and Me continued Sept. 17 with a sheep theme. Families listened to Time to Sleep, Sheep the Sheep and Where is the Green Sheep? before children made their own sheep using cotton and coloring materials.

Library visitors were also busy at the puzzle table, completing two autumn-themed puzzles during the week.

The Grants Public Library is also continuing its partnership with The Therapy Academy, which is offering free vision and hearing screenings for children age 5 and younger at the library.

Upcoming screenings are scheduled for Oct. 8, Nov. 12, Dec. 10 and Jan. 14 from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Families can sign up using the QR code provided by The Therapy Academy or by emailing kdickey@thetherapyacademy. com.

The screenings are another addition to the growing partnership between the library and The Therapy Academy, which has also brought early-childhood programs and developmental services to families in Cibola County.
