GRANTS, NM – New Mexico Firefighters Training Academy and Grants Fire and Rescue hosted a Vehicle Extrication 1 class for the past two weekends.

Firefighters from GFR, Milan Volunteer Fire Department, Fence Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Cubero Volunteer Fire Department, and Bluewater Village Volunteer Fire Department participated in the extraction

training.

These Firefighters were challenged with numerous scenarios using various types of equipment, from hand tools to hydraulic extrication tools. Without assistance from Central Auto Salvage, Interstate Towing, Route 66 Towing, Central towing, Cibola County Fire Command, and the City of Grants Street Department, this training would not have been possible.

There really is no proper way to thank everyone but – THANK YOU!

The support we get from our community is amazing.

This is hopefully just the beginning of multiple jurisdiction training coming to our area.

Great job to all the Firefighters that worked hard to complete this class.
