Murder in Laguna

LAGUNA, N.M. – Tragedy struck New Laguna on August 12 when a murder was committed, now the Federal Bureau of Investigations is seeking public assistance in discovering the culprit responsible.

Details in the murder investigation are limited as of press time. According to the FBI, 42-year-old Laguna Pueblo resident Victor G. Jones was stabbed to death and found on the driveway of an undisclosed house in the New Laguna.

“Violent crime is a challenge for many communities, and the FBI and our partners are working around the clock to bring criminals to justice,” Special Agent in Charge Raul Bujanda of the Albuquerque FBI Division said. “The public can play an important role in this effort by helping us solve crimes like the senseless killing of Victor Jones.”

Jones was born November 13, 1978, he was 5’7” tall and weighed 130 pounds. Jones was a male Native American who was known to go by the alias “Hugger.”
