GRANTS, N.M. – An argument about infidelity turned to violence on October 21 at the Motel 6 lodging in Grants, N.M. Police arrested Kimberlee Kenneth for allegedly mutilating her then-boyfriend after the two argued over their relationship. Kenneth has been charged with Aggravated Battery Against a Household Member. In the US judicial system, all people are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Grants Fire and Rescue were called to the Motel 6 at 1505 E. Santa Fe Avenue for a medical call. What they drove up on was a gruesome scene that prompted the fire and EMS personnel to request law enforcement come to the scene.

Grants Police Department arrived on the scene where they met with GFR firefighters who directed them to the motel bathroom. Here, law enforcement found blood splattered across the room. Blood was allegedly found on the floor, on the toilet, in the shower, and the bathroom counter. Resting on the counter, law enforcement found a white-in-color spherical object which was identified to be the male victim’s testicle.

Police immediately went to work to determine what happened in this motel room.

In an interview with police, Kimberlee Kenneth said the two children who were staying with her and the victim in the motel were inside of the victim’s truck. Police note in reports that Kenneth had dried blood on her chin.

Kenneth told police that the couple have been having arguments over the victim’s commitment to their relationship for several weeks. On Oct. 21 the argument spiraled. Kenneth had started paperwork to grant her aunt custody of the children waiting in the truck, and had asked the victim if he did his part of the paperwork, “things were going to get ugly,” she allegedly told police. The two argued as Kenneth finished cooking, after eating, the victim fell asleep and Kenneth travelled to the convenience store for some groceries and necessities. When she returned, she woke the victim for work and the argument resumed. As the two argued, the victim dropped his pants, said that he did not need or want Kenneth anymore and that “other people would want” his exposed penis. This is when Kenneth allegedly used her teeth to bite the male victim’s testicles. Kenneth would later retract this story.

Investigators had questions because parts of Kenneth’s story didn’t add up. GFR informed GPD that there was evidence of sexual abuse in the household. When investigators returned to Kenneth, who was at this point detained in the back of a police cruiser, they asked her if she had been sexually assaulted by the male victim or if her children had been abused, Kenneth said that was not the case.

On the way to GPD’s station on Roosevelt Avenue, Kenneth allegedly told the police that she bit her boyfriend because “She knows what he is able to do”, according to the police report. The male victim had been rushed to Cibola General Hospital, GPD took the testicle to the hospital and it was removed from evidence after being documented. At the police station, Kenneth told officers that she needed the bathroom, when she came out, Kenneth informed police that she had not been truthful with them.

Kenneth was read her Miranda Warning, and signed a document certifying that she understood her rights. Kenneth then gave officers the full story.

The couple was evicted from their home and was waiting for legal documents to be processed that would transfer legal guardianship of the children to Kenneth’s aunt. Kenneth allegedly admitted that she and the male victim had been drinking alcohol when they started to argue.

According to the report, the male victim was preparing to take a shower. The male victim dropped his pants, and said, according to the police report, “If you don’t believe me, here is my [penis], it’s all yours.” The police report says that he pushed Kenneth to the ground, who said she began to feel an adrenaline rush. Kenneth was on the ground, with the male victim’s genitalia in her face, so she allegedly decided to bite him.

Kenneth then told police that she did not tell the truth because the male victim had allegedly told her, “If she loved him, she would not say anything [and] that is why she lied to [police]”, according to the police report.

Kenneth was booked in Cibola County Correctional Center in Milan, N.M. She will have a hearing on December 6 in the Cibola County Magistrate Courts.
