The Grants/Cibola County Chamber of Commerce has announced the rules vendors at the Independence Day Parade must follow. The parade, known for its vibrant celebrations and community spirit, attracts hundreds of visitors each year. In order to ensure a successful and enjoyable event for all, vendors are required to adhere to the following guidelines:

• Space Dimensions: All vendors will be allocated a 10x10' booth area unless otherwise specified.

• Attendance: Vendors must have a representative present at their booth for the entire duration of the event.

• Food Vendors: Any vendors selling food must possess either an annual or temporary permit issued by the New Mexico Environment Department.

• Electricity: Vendors requiring electricity will be assigned a designated area. All electrical cords must meet inspection codes to ensure safety.

• Equipment and Cleanliness: Vendors are responsible for providing their own trash receptacles, overhead coverings, tables, chairs, and extension cords (up to 100 feet). Large trash barrels are to be used for vendor waste, while small trash barrels are designated for customer use. Vendors are required to maintain cleanliness around their booths throughout the event.

• Booth Set-up and Tear-down: Booth set-up will commence on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at 6:00 a.m. All booths must remain open until 2:00 p.m., and tear-down should be completed by 3:00 p.m.

• Prohibited Items: The sale of stink bombs, silly string, fireworks, knives, or drug-related paraphernalia is strictly prohibited. Additionally, vendors are not allowed to sell items displaying nudity, vulgar language, or drug-related symbols or messages.

• Amplification: No amplification devices are permitted, except for scheduled entertainment purposes.

• Event Property: Event tables and chairs should not be removed from designated areas for personal use.

• Assistance and Information: The Chamber will have personnel present in the area to assist vendors.
