CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – On Oct. 19 the Cibola County Sheriff’s Office, working with federal Homeland Security Investigations, discovered 22.58 pounds of marijuana, and more than 73,000 grams of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana that alters a person’s thinking, according towww.healthline.com/health/cbd-vsthc CCSO deputies pulled over a sedan on Interstate 40, near mile marker 98. After officers identified potential illegal activity inside of the vehicle, permission was granted for a search of the vehicle, according to CCSO.

The search turned up 22.58 pounds of marijuana, 129 packages of THC infused gummies – about 73,000 grams worth of THC – and 80 grams of THC wax. At least one firearm and an undisclosed amount of cash were seized as well. According to CCSO the people inside the

According to CCSO the people inside the vehicle admitted to purchasing the drugs in Los Angeles, California, and were in the process of transporting the items to Tyler, Texas.

CCSO said that at least one suspect admitted to taking the drugs to Texas with intent to distribute the illegal substances.

At least one suspect was arrested on Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute.
