Who’s on the Ballot in Cibola County?

Body

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. — Cibola County voters will not all see the same local races on their General Election ballots.

Some offices are elected countywide, while others are divided into geographic districts. That means where a voter lives — and the address attached to their voter registration — determines which district-based contests appear on their ballot.

For State Representative, Cibola County is divided between House Districts 6 and 69.

House District 6: Martha Garcia, Democrat Paul Spencer, Republican

House District 69:

Michelle Pauline Abeyta, Democrat County Commission races are also districtbased.

County Commission District 1:

Richard Allen Cerno, Democrat

County Commission District 3:

Martin M. Vigil, Democrat Only voters who live within those commission districts will see those races.

Other county offices are elected countywide.

Cibola County Sheriff:

Larry Diaz, Democrat Aaron Henry Baca, Republican

Cibola County Assessor: Jenna M. Rodriguez, Democrat

Cibola County Probate Judge:

Corrine C. Padilla, Democrat Cibola County voters will also see magistrate court races.

Magistrate Judge Division 1:

Tony L. Mace, Democrat

Magistrate Judge Division 2:

Jessica M. Melonas, Democrat Robert Scott Windhorst, Republican Some voters will also see Public Education Commission contests depending on their district:

PEC District 5:

Sharon E. Clahchischilliage, Republican

PEC District 6:

Stewart Alan Ingham, Republican The ballot also includes judicial retention questions, including Thirteenth Judicial District Court Judge Amanda Sanchez Villalobos.

Because district lines determine which legislative, commission and Public Education Commission races appear, voters should review their individual ballot information before voting.

Election Day is Nov. 3.
