With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mom, Laurie Goulet Semeraro. She wasn’t just our Mom—she was a cherished Wife, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister and friend. Laurie passed away peacefully at home, lovingly cared for by her family, on Sunday, June 28, 2026. She was 86 years old.
Laurie was born on October 4, 1939, in Ville Marie, Quebec, Canada, to Joseph and Marie Goulet. She was the youngest of 7 children guided by the values of faith, kindness, compassion, and resilience. She instilled the same values in her children.
On December 29, 1958, Laurie married Rocco Semeraro. They were married for 54 years when he passed away in 2012.
Laurie was preceeded in death by her beloved husband Rocco, her parents Joseph and Marie Goulet, her daughter Michelle Semeraro, Granddaughters Francesca Tafoya and Skyler Montaño and Great-granddaughter Brooklyn Montaño. She also reunites in peace with her siblings Octave, Alphonse (Pete), Marcel, Octavie, Lydia, and Juliette.
She leaves behind a loving family that will forever cherish her memory: her children, Gino, Marco and his wife Crissy Semeraro,Sylvie and her husband Albert Schultz. Laurie’s legacy continues through her Grandchildren Taylor, Mikah, Alec, Jesse, Cheyanne, Sammi, Roman, Christian. Her Great-grandchildren Hayden, Greyson, and Stevie, Aurora and Grey, Jeffery and Journey, and Aiden and Ashton. Each of them carries a part of Laurie’s spirit and warmth.
May she rest in eternal peace. Our family is planning a Celebration of Laurie’s Life for a later date.
