ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – October 22, 2026 – Touro College of Dental Medicine (TCDM), the first pre-doctoral dental training facility in New Mexico, announces it will provide complimentary dental cleanings for children following Halloween, bringing back the initiative for a second consecutive year. Between Monday, November 2, and Friday, November 6, Touro Dental Health Kids in Albuquerque will offer free dental cleanings for children.
“Sugary treats can increase a child’s risk of tooth decay, particularly when they’re eating them more frequently than usual,” said Zarah Ahmed, DDS, director of pediatric dentistry at Touro College of Dental Medicine. “A professional cleaning is a great opportunity to help children get back on track with their oral health and reinforce healthy habits that can last well beyond the holiday season.”
“Halloween is a fun time for children, and it’s a good reminder of the importance of maintaining healthy teeth and gums,” said Joseph Parkinson, DDS, MPA, FAGD, executive assistant dean of Touro College of Dental Medicine. “We’re pleased to bring this initiative back for a second year and help local families make their children’s oral health a priority after the holiday.”
Located at 2425 Ridgecrest Dr., just steps from the Gateway Center in Albuquerque, TCDM features more than 100 dental chairs offering specialty care in oral surgery, orthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, supporting the students who complete their education at TCDM’s new facility and campus while providing high-quality dental care.
Appointments can be booked by telephone at (505) 658-8236. Space is limited and families are encouraged to schedule their appointments as soon as possible. To learn more about Touro College of Dental Medicine, please visit https://dental.touro.edu/pa tients/nm/.
