Grants Fire was dispatched to the 85 MM for a motor vehicle accident involving semis that went head on. Upon arrival personnel found three Semis and one Car involved in the accident. Grants Fire did extrication on one patient from the car involved. Multiple patients were transported to the hospital with injuries ranging from minor to major.
Thank you to all entities that assisted during the incident: Milan Volunteer Fire Dept., Cibola County Fire Command, Cibola Regional Communications Center, Superior Ambulance. City of Grants Street & Maintenance Departments and all Law Enforcement agencies with in town traffic control. Also thank you to NMDOT and Interstate Towing for the quick clean up so the interstate could return back to normal travel.
No injuries to Firefighters were reported.
