It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Priscilla M. Romero, after a lengthy illness. She was the center of our family and is missed by her children and grandchildren. We will miss her humor & sarcasm, stubbornness, and most of all, her strength.
Priscilla was born on January 18, 1947, in Cubero, NM and passed away on May 16, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was employed at Anaconda and at Grants State Bank for many years before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1989. She retired in 2007 to spend time with her granddaughters – she loved being out & about with her girls, collecting sand paintings, sewing, cooking & eating NM food, talking via FaceTime, and watching her favorite TV programs.
She is survived by her children, Linda Lazcano (Ene), Michael Gonzalez (Maria), Gerald Gonzalez, and Roberto Gonzalez (Theresa), all of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Andres Gonzalez of Grants, NM; her granddaughters, Maya Lazcano and Olivia Gonzalez both of Las Vegas, Nevada; her grandson, Patrick Gonzalez of Austin, TX. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Pete and Nilda Baca Romero; her sister, Mary Barela; brothers, Lucky and Pete Romero.
No more pain and suffering, Mama. We miss you, Gramma. It is time to rest. We love you and will take care of each other.
