A crowd gathered in front of Grants City Hall at 600 W

A crowd gathered in front of Grants City Hall at 600 W. Santa Fe Avenue on August 1. This crowd held bright pink signs with messages like, “Free Donald” and “Bring DJ Back”. As the Cibola Citizen wen to take a picture of the protestors, Grants Mayor Erik Garcia said at least some of the protestors are students’ part of the state’s WIOA program that allowed them to work in the local government to provide professional experiences.

The Grants City Council will address the firing of former City Manager Donald Jaramillo at their meeting on August 3 at 7 p.m. in the Cibola Senior Citizens Center, 550 Jurassic Court.
