Henry Rodarte 90 years old a long-time resident of grants passed away on 114-23 with family at his side at home. Mt. Taylor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Viewing & Rosary at 6 P.M. at Mt. Taylor Funeral Home on November 13, 2023. Mass at 10 A.M. on 11/14/2023 at St. Teresa Avila Church in Grants. Manuel@mttaylorfunerals.com Henry was born in Rodarte, New Mexico to Frumexicio and Elisa Rodarte. He attended school in Pexaiso, New Mexico. Henry met the love of his life Ann Martinez while going to school. Henry and Ann got married. Henry enlisted in the army at the age of 17. He was in the 25th Artillery Infantry Division. He was stationed in Korea (Korean Veteran) He received his Korean service metal and the national defense service metal. Henry worked at Kennecott Corporations (Mine) in Ely, Nevada for awhile.

Henry moved to Grants and worked for Homestake & Gulf as a Miner, Motor man, shut punched, Level boss, Tramming Uranium Ore on the train all over the Mine underground. Henry and Ann had four children Marvella, Gary, Ronnie, & Elmer Rodarte. Henry and Ann shared a life for 61 years. Henry enjoyed being with his eight grandchildren, 11 greatgrandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. Henry in his later years liked going to the casino and he had so much luck.
