Adolfo “Chato” Urbina Jr.

Adolfo “Chato” Urbina Jr., age 92, went home to be with the Lord on February 24, 2023, in Milan, N.M. Born in Gallup on February 22, 1931, he would go on to enlist in the United States Army at the age of 17. This choice would take him across the Pacific to Korea where he heroically served his nation and earned the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and the Silver Star during the Korean Conflict. A humble and quiet man, he returned to New Mexico when his duty was done and married the beautiful and resilient Louisa Chavez. Together, they would build an adobe home and raise their family on a diet of faith, hope, and love. Adolfo was a man of many talents and he could always be relied upon to help build and fix many things.

Adolfo is predeceased by his parents: Adolfo Urbina Sr. and Catherine (Ascencio) Urbina; wife: Louisa (Chavez) Urbina; son: Albert Urbina; sister: Alice Lopez; and brother: Leo Urbina.
