George Walter McBeath passed away on October 16, 2021 after a motorcycle accident in Pinehill, New Mexico. He was born on November 28, 1938 to George and Harriet McBeath in Chicago, IL.

George served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He had a midget racing career with Bay City Auto Racing. UARA Racing, Badger Racing and USAC racing. He was a machinist and self-employed, servicing Rutherford Printing Equipment.

He was a recovering alcoholic for 40 years.

He and his wife moved to New Mexico in 1990, they lived in Milan while he built their home with the help of Roger Pino and several Navajo gentlemen. In 1996 they purchased the Tinaja Bar and turned it into a family restaurant serving the Pinehill/ Ramah communities for off and on for 25 years.

He was an active volunteer at San Lorenzo Catholic Mission for the time they lived in the area. He loved to go on hikes with the priest, nuns, and people after church.

He is survived by his wife Mary Ann of 60 years, their three dogs. His only sister; Nancy Seloover and her husband Dick and their daughter Pam, along with several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Harriet McBeath, his Aunt Edith. His Grandparents; Amy and Walter Thorman, as well as his Grandma Emma McBeath.

On Friday October 22, 2021 a Mass will be celebrated by Father Patrick McGuire at 11 a.m. at San Lorenzo Catholic Mission on Hwy 53, mile marker 47. He will be laid to rest in the San Lorenzo Catholic Mission Ceme

tery. Pallbearers include; Manuel Blea, Karmichael Begay, Tom Manrodt, David Basham, Ed Morlan, and Mike Porter.
