Hamp Andrew Porter II

Hamp Andrew Porter II born May 25, 1989 passed on April 3, 2024 at his home in Rio Rancho, NM.

Hamp was a wonderful father to his children. He was an amazing son, brother and uncle. He was always smiling and loved to make everyone laugh. His smile lit up the room. He was a diehard San Francisco 49er fan and had a larger-than-life personality. He was employed by Peabody Coal Mine where he was a heavy equipment operator.

Hamp is survived by his children: Kara-Maria Porter, Hamp Andrew Porter III, and Nathaniel Joseph Porter of Albuquerque NM, and his girlfriend: Serena Vigil of Rio Rancho, NM; he is also survived by his father: Hamp Porter I his wife Deborah Porter of Dallas Tx.; his mother: Antoinette Saavedra Ortiz her husband George Ortiz of Grants, NM; Brothers: Nathaniel Porter and Albert (Abby) Chavez of Grants NM; Sisters: Briana Armijo husband Daniel Armijo of Los Padillas, NM, Natalie Lorenzi husband Matthew Lorenzi of Port St. John Fl.; Step brothers: Joseph Jonathan and Jared Ortiz of Grants, NM; step sisters Megan and Mikaila Chavez of Albuquerque NM, GPa John Otero of Albuquerque NM.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Victoria Lynn Porter of Grants NM; his grandparents: Serafico and Velda Saavedra of Grants, NM; grandparents: Charlie and Geraldine Porter of Grants NM.

Services will take place at The Way Truth and the Life Ministries on 700 Sakelares Grants NM 87020 viewing 10am service at 11 am Pastor Danny Almanza will be officiating. Pallbearers are as follows: Nathaniel Porter, Matthew Lorenzi, Daniel Armijo, Israel Chavez, Joseph Hayes, Eric Saavedra, Estevan Elycio and Joel Erives Honorary Pallbearers: Albert (Abby) Chavez, Alfonso and Luciana Martinez, Nina Rougemont, Joe Brito, Joseph Ortiz and Clarence Baca.

Interment following at the Grants Cemetery. Reception at the Cow Palace.
