Jesse Chavez

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of son, grandson, nephew, and friend Jesse Chavez.

Jesse was born on August 17, 2003 in Albuquerque New Mexico. Jesse Chavez was taken from us on December 21, 2023. Jesse’s passing was sudden and unexpected.

Jesse was an only child who spent majority of his life living in Grants, New Mexico, where he enjoyed playing sports skating at the skate park, riding bikes and keeping his school teachers very busy. In seventh grade, he relocated to Rio Rancho with his mother, where he attended Rio Rancho high school. Jesse has many friends who love him and miss him very much. Jesse was a very happy and joyous soul. He had a way of brightening the lives of all those who knew him. In his short time here, he deeply touched many lives, and we want to thank everyone who helped during this very difficult time.

Jesse is survived by his mother: Christy Chavez; father: Leonel Valdes; grandmother: Vivian Ballew; Grandfather: David Valdes; Grandmother: Lilian Bauza; uncle: Robert and wife Tanya; uncle: Joel Ballew and wife Shalane; uncle: Shane and wife Tiffany Lorns. He also leaves behind many great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jesse’s funeral service will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church in Milan N.M on Wednesday December 27 viewing will be from 9 am to 10 am funeral services will follow. Mt, Taylor Funerals and Cremations is handling the arrangements.
