Josephine was born on October 28, 1937 in Regent, North Dakota and she went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2021 in Grants, New Mexico.

A rosary and funeral service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. A private burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Rev. John Paul Sauter will be the celebrant.

She married Victor Friedt on November 16, 1954 in Regent, N.D. and moved to Grants on February 14, 1967 with her husband and family.

Through the years, she worked in multiple capacities within the service industry and retired in 1999. Her greatest interests were faith, family, baking, plante, hummingbirds and books; with the greatest joy being her family. Shw was a devoted wife, sisiter, mom and “Nanny” to her family. She welcomed all the love in her home and no one was allowed to leave hungry. Her happienst day were spent surrounded by her family.

She is survived by seven children; Vicki Friedt of Grants, N.M., Allan Friedt of Grants, N.M., Pam Friedt of Grants, N.M., Debbie Johnson and husband Steve of Albuquerque, N.M., Cindy Alires and husband Gary of Grants, N.M., Arnie Friedt and wife Joyce or Ute Park, N.M. and Arnell Friedt and wive Nicole of Rio Rancho, N.M. Nine grandchildren; Melissa, Eric and wife Jessica, Allan Edward, Justin, Jordan Dylan, Joshua, Isabella and Alexander.Two greatgrandchildren; Matthwe and Maverick. Her sister; Lena White and husband John and brother David Greff and wife Jackie.

She is preceded in death by her husband Victor Friedt, sone Arlan Friedt, grandson Arlan Lee Friedt, parents Gabriel and mary Greff, brothers Gabe Greff, Joseph Greff, Mike Greff, Clement Greff, Godfrey Greff, Tony Greff, Adam Greff, Louis Greff, and Paul Greff. Sisters Elizabeth Greff and Mary Reese.
