On 10 September, Pete E. Salazar passed away.

He was born on August 12, 1935 in Sena, New Mexico, of Daniel Salazar and Maria Gallegos-Salazar. He was married to Veronica Murrietta-Salazar on 21 August 1959.

During his life, Pete had several jobs, he worked on the railroad, worked in the uranium mines and retired from Continental Divide as a lineman foreman. He was a good husband, father, grand-father, and friend. He always made sure that his family was taken care of. He was always ready to lend a hand to his friends and would help anyone and everyone he could.

Pete believed that a person could be happy and successful if he believed in himself and worked hard. He loved to be in the mountains, hunting, getting wood and at the lake, fishing. After he retired, his main purpose was being with Betty and taking care of her.

He is joining Willy Salazar, Bernie Macovane, Armenia Manzares, and Polie Gallegos.

He is survived by lovely wife and three children: Estela Valdez, Pete Salazar and Robin Salazar; his sisters: Dee Rose, Danny Chavez and Fabie Garcia; grandchildren: Anna Valdez, David Salazar, Ashley Valdez, Christina Salazar, Peter Valdez, Savannah Salazar and Jacob Salazar; great-grandchildren: Daniel Mariano, Esteban Valdez, Jasmine Valdez, Cordelia Salazar and daughter-in-law Hanna Salazar.
