Roberta A. Marquez

Roberta A. Marquez was born in Red Cliff, Colorado on April 22, 1948. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her residence in Edgewood NM on May 20, 2023. She was a resident of Grants, NM and lived in the San Mateo area for most of her married life where she and her husband, Melvin worked and raised their family. Roberta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed tremendously by everyone who knew her. Her laughter and love for dancing was infectious. She loved spending time with her family but most of all loved her grandchildren. Watching them play sports brought her so much joy. She had a special bond with each one of them. Her love for all of her nieces and nephew was eminent and considered them as one of her own.

Roberta was preceded in death by husband, Melvin Marquez; Parents, Rebecca and Claudio Blea; Father, Manuel Lobato; sister, Alice Garcia; brother, Michael Blea.

Roberta is survived by her loving children: Daughter, Andria Radosevich and husband, Bill of Edgewood NM. Son, Melvin Marquez II of Albuquerque NM. Her loving grandchildren: Cameryn Radosevich & Rylen Radosevich of Edgewood NM; Zeus Marquez of Albuquerque NM.; Sister, Annette Torrez; Brother, Claudio Blea Jr.; The Lobato Family and many nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers: Bill Radosevich, Rylen Radosevich, Zeus Marquez, Mario Garcia, Dale Knighton, Christopher Chavez and Eugene Gonzales.

Funeral Services (Rosary & Mass) will be held at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Grants NM at 9:30am. Burial at the Grants Cemetery will follow. Reception will be at the Coyote Del Malpais Golf Course.
