Stephen “Steve” Thompson

Stephen “Steve” Thompson, age 56, of Milan, NM, passed away unexpectedly on October 9, 2023. Steve was born on April 6, 1967 to Rita Torrez. Steve was born in San Rafael, NM and later moved and lived his adult life in Milan, NM.

Steve enjoyed riding his bike, hanging out with his friends, and cruising with his brothers and aunt. He loved his Dallas Cowboys and had a way of making those around him laugh. He will be remembered for picking the best watermelon and growing his plants. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Steve is survived by his siblings; Brenda Thompson, Roy Thompson and wife Denise, Bernadette Gurule and husband Lawrence, and Delfinio Gonzales and wife Rebecca; his aunt Helen Gabaldon; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Steve is proceeded in death by his parents, Lace and Rita Thompson; grandparents Pedro and Margarita Torrez, and brother Jacob Torrez.

A rosary for Steve will be recited at 9:30am on Monday, November 6, at St. Vivian’s Church in Milan, NM. A mass will be held immediately following the rosary. Burial will follow at Grants Memorial Park.
