GRANTS, NEW MEXICO (Monday, December 2, 2024) – The Grants FFA Chapter competed in the District I Leadership Development Events at Shiprock High School on November 5, 2024. After competing against students from across the region, the following students placed in the competition (*Denotes State Qualifier):

• Jewels Pradt – Employment Skills Leadership Development Events encourage members to develop public speaking, problemsolving, decision-making, and effective communication skills. Each of these events also allows students to expand their knowledge of agricultural topics and FFA and put it to use in competition.
All Junior High state qualifiers will compete at the State Jr. High Leadership Development Events at the New Mexico FFA Leadership Conference in Albuquerque, NM, February 7-9, 2025. All other Leadership Development Event state qualifiers will compete at the New Mexico FFA State Convention in Las Cruces, NM, May 27-30, 2025.
This is Grants FFA’s second time competing in the District I Leadership Development Events since rechartering in 2023. New Mexico FFA District I consists of FFA chapters from the following schools: Aztec, Bernalillo, Bloomfield, Cleveland, Cuba, Dulce, Farmington, Grants, Kirtland, Mesa Vista, Newcomb, Questa, and Shiprock.
