WACO, Texas – Stephanie Doran of Louisiana College corralled the RRAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award for Oct. 4-10, while Kristina Simpson of University of the Southwest (N.M.) was named the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week for the same dates. This is the seventh set of conference awards for the 2021 women's soccer season.

Doran scored the game-winning goal in both of the Wildcats' victories last week. The senior midfielder from Colton, Calif., found the net in the 75th minute to snap a tie with LSU Shreveport (La.) enroute to a 2-1 result. Doran netted two more goals in a 5-0 win over Texas A&M University-Texarkana. She and teammate Martina Garcia are tied for 23rd in the nation with 11 goals apiece. LC has set new program records in wins at 6-0 in conference play and 10-1 on the season.

Simpson earned two wins in goal for the Mustangs last week. The freshman goalkeeper from Grants, N.M., made eight saves and allowed only one goal in a two-overtime, 2-1 victory over Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas). Simpson also posted a shutout in a 3-0 triumph over Texas A&M University-San Antonio. She finished the week with 14 saves. USW surged to 5-0 in the RRAC and 7-2-1 overall.
