The Albuquerque Isotopes and the City of Albuquerque unveiled another enhancement to the fan experience at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park with a new stateof- the-art LED lighting system.
The new custom designed lights are comprised of 186 fixtures as part of Musco’s Total Light Control System, which increases light levels more uniformly throughout the ballpark, improves visibility for fans and players to track the baseball while also minimizing glare.
Additionally, the system also features Musco’s Show-Light Pro entertainment package and RGB-U colorchanging technology, creating world-class light shows paired with light-to-sound synchronization.
“We are very appreciative that the City of Albuquerque continues to keep our facility in compliance with Major League Baseball’s standards while also improving the fan experience,” said Isotopes General Manager John Traub. “We think fans are really going to enjoy the new lights with their improved capabilities, especially the light shows we are able to produce with various color schemes throughout the game time experience. We’re excited to put them on display Opening Night Friday night.”
RGCU Field joins more than 50 Minor League stadiums, 16 Major League ballparks, as well as dozens of other professional sporting venues featuring the customized LED technology. The new system also drastically reduces energy consumption and is backed by a 25-year warranty, eliminating maintenance cost through 2049.
