The Lady Pirates softball season concluded with an 8-18, 2-6 record.

“The season has been a transformative journey for myself and the team,” said first year GHS softball head coach Victor Aldaz, who had 21 days to get is team ready for their first game, “Statistically, we’ve outperformed our historical records–I’m confident that we’re on the right path to build a program— capable of competing at the highest level.”

Aldaz acknowledged improvement in his players and “commendable performances,” throughout the season.

Notables for this past season include Olivia Toivanen had 78 strikeouts from the mound and was number nine in strikeouts across all classes.

Annora Graham had 34 stolen bases and was number three in district 5 4A in that stat.

Abryhyanna Garcia was a close number four in stolen bases with 33.

Melia Garcia was ninth in the district in hitting.

“Our team has been recognized with one player on the first team All-District and three players on second team all-district and three players with Academic All-District accolades.” Coach Aldaz also had much praise for his staff, “It’s a dedicated staff that resonates with my coaching philosophy… It’s a testament to our commitment to excellence both on and off the field.”
