ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New Mexico United has officially opened registration for its 2026 open tryouts, scheduled to take place on Friday, January 10 at Kraemer Fields (2811 Karsten Ct SE, Albuquerque, NM 87102). This marks the fifth open tryout hosted by the club since its inaugural 2019 season and offers a rare opportunity for aspiring players to earn a potential spot on the team’s 2026 roster.

Tryouts are open to players ages 17 and up, and the registration window is now open through January 8, 2026. The club encourages all interested players to register early, as space is limited.

In United’s first-ever open tryout in 2019, the club signed two players—Josh Goss and Phillip Beigl— who went on to join the firstteam roster. This year, the technical staff is again looking to identify talent that might otherwise go unseen through traditional scouting channels.

“We want to give every possible opportunity for talented, driven players to become part of our organization,” the club said in a statement. “Tryouts are a key part of that mission.”

The registration fee is $161.63 (including tax). Tryouts will be broken into two sessions: an 11:00 a.m. session and a 2:00 p.m. session, followed by a callback match at 4:00 p.m. Players will receive an email the day before the tryout confirming their assigned session. All participants should plan to be available between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on the day of the tryout.
