ALBUQUERQUE, NM - New Mexico United and New Mexico 811 are thrilled to announce the addition of Denilson Velasquez to the U-23 roster. Velasquez, a former Cibola High School, United Academy, and Columbus Crew Academy player, joins the inaugural roster to bring the number of announced players to thirty.

“Denilson is a dynamic player and an excellent creator,” said United’ U-23 Head Coach Luke Sanford. “His passing range, and soccer intelligence are something that will make our team better from the moment he steps on the pitch. We’re excited to welcome him back home.”

Velasquez formerly played for New Mexico United Academy in their inaugural 2021 season, before joining the Columbus Crew Academy, playing in MLS Next. He is returning to his native Albuquerque after seeing the introduction of the U-23 team this season.
