The Grants High School varsity football season came to an end this past week after a 23-0 loss to the St. Pius High School on Thursday, November 27 in an away game. Three high schools: Valencia High School, St. Pius High School, Silver City High School from district 4A 3/5 made it to the state playoffs. Eight of the Pirates opponents this year made it to the playoffs this year as well. The Lady Pirates Volleyball Team are 10-11, 3-4 and have one district game left as they travel to play the Belen Eagles 7-13, 1-5. The Lady Pirates have an opportunity be selected to the state playoffs in a possible 11 or 12 seed if they defeat the Belen Eagles. The Pirates defeated the Eagles the last time they met 3-1.

The Laguna-Acoma Hawks Volleyball Team is still undefeated 19-0, 4-0 and will play the Rehoboth Christian (8-13, 2-2) in a district game on Tuesday, November 1 at home. Previous to this game, the Lady Hawks defeated Rehoboth Christian 3-0.
