Pirate Tennis Update

The lady Pirates tennis team is currently 6-3, 1-0 after a recent win over Hope Christian 5-4 and Manzano 9-0.

At the Manzano meet number 1 Alexia Munson defeated Gabriella Mc-Carthy 6-1, 6-0. Number 2 Abriyah Urioste defeated Paige Barney 7-5, 6-2. Number 4 Kylee Sandoval defeated Talia McKennen 2-6, 6-3.

Up next for the lady Pirates will be a district match with Highland High School (5-3,1-0) on the road on April 9.

The GHS boys’ tennis team is currently 1-7,0-2 and went 1-9 in their most recent meet against Hope Christian. GHS number 1 Isaiah Tena and number 2 Carlos Fernandez defeated Kaiden Davis and Shane Onken 8-4 in doubles play.
