The GHS track team is sending several members of the boys’ and girls’ track team to the 4A state track meet after qualifying earlier in the season.
Qualifiers for the boys’ team are John Paul Miller in the 3200 meters, Knight Long in the 200 meters, Bobby Perez in the triple jump, Manuel Gonzales in the high jump and Knight Long, Andres Lazos, Manuel Gonzales and John “JJ” Horacek in the 4x100 medley and the 4x200 medley. Bobby Perez, John Paul Miller, Miitra Pino and Montell Frye in the 4x800 meter medley.
For the Lady Pirates Laila Martinez in the 800meters, 1600-meters and 3200-meters. In the 4x200 meter medley Annysia Perez, Jenna Gurule, Cadence Siow and Laila Martinez. In the 1600meter medley Annysia Perez, Jenna Gurule, Cadence Siow and Laila Martinez.
