Grants Fire and Rescue remembers the Granite Mountain Hotshots

GRANTS N.M. – Wednesday, June 30, 2021 was the eight-year anniversary of the incident that took 19 Arizona firefighters’ lives. The Granite Mountain Hotshot Crew was a group of 20 firefighting individuals, originating out of Prescott, Arizona.

The First place winner of the 2021 4th of July Parade went to the Captain America entry (pictured left). The winning entry recieved a $300 first prize. Second place went to NWNM correctional center and third place went to the Raptors baseball team float.
