GRANTS, N.M. – A new youth mural project on High Street brought families, artists and community members together last week in a visible display of local pride and creativity.
According to Grants MainStreet Project, more than 20 families took part in the effort, helping bring color and energy to the mural as work continued through the week. Painting activity was visible over multiple days, with participants contributing to a public art project meant to reflect the community’s youth and the shared spirit of Grants.
Grants MainStreet described the mural as more than just an art installation, calling it a reflection of local families, young people and community pride.
The organization also thanked Homestake Mining Company for funding the project, saying the support helped make the opportunity possible for local youth and families.
The mural is expected to become a lasting feature in the area and another example of ongoing communitycentered improvements tied to downtown Grants.
