Grants Animal Care Center Cuts Population Nearly in Half— No Euthanasia Reported; Transfers Ongoing

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. — The City of Grants Animal Care Center has reduced its population from 117 animals to 60 “without any euthanasia,” according to an Oct. 14 update from Grants Police Chief Maxine Monte.

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. — Autumn has arrived in full stride. A fall-color snapshot from Oct. 14 shows widespread moderate color across western and central New Mexico, with high to peak color appearing in higher elevations from the Zuni Mountains to the Mt. Taylor high country.
