GRANTS, N.M. – During a recent Coffee with the Managers, Les Gaines informed the community about an unusual but necessary change for this year's Quad race in Grants.For only the third time in its 42year history, the Mt. Taylor winter quadrathlon will take place without snow.

New Mexico Ranks Last in the Nation’s Report Card for the Ninth Time in a Row

SANTA FE, N.M. – For the ninth year in a row, New Mexico has ranked 50th out of 50 in education.New Mexico remains at the bottom of national education rankings, according to the latest data from the 2024 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), commonly known as the Nation’s Report Card.

BLM, USDA Forest Service Announce 2025 Grazing Fees

WASHINGTON – The federal grazing fee for 2025 remains $1.35 per animal unit month for public lands administered by the Bureau of Land Management and $1.35 per head month for lands managed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service.

GRANTS, N.M. – The political crisis surrounding House District 6 took another dramatic turn on January 28 as the Cibola County Commission nominated Clemente Sanchez (D) to fill the legislative seat left vacant by the resignation and passing of longtime Representative Eliseo 'Lee' Alcon (D).
