Crime Spree Ends in Shootout on I-40; Suspect Hospitalized

GRANTS, N.M. – A deadly crime spree that started on the Acoma Pueblo ended in a shootout on I-40 late Saturday night, involving law enforcement from Cibola County and Grants.
Cibola County Sheriff Larry Diaz emphasizes that while his office will assist federal agencies when necessary, CCSO does not actively enforce immigration laws or detain individuals solely based on ICE requests.
