Cibola Voters to Decide on $290 Million of Questions and Four Constitutional Amendments in November

Bond to Renovate Martinez Hall at NMSU-G

GRANTS, N.M. – Voters will soon decide on a $230.26 million bond that will help fund improvements at New Mexico State University-Grants.

Alternative Voting Locations will be available at the following sites:

Laguna Tribal Building – Oct. 19, 22 and 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.Acoma Gymnasium – Oct. 26, 28 and 29 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.Pinehill Fire Station – Oct. 19, 22 and 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.Old Cibola County Complex – Oct. 19, 22 and 29 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Important Dates

Voter registration closes on October 8, 2024.The last day the county clerk’s office will mail absentee ballots is October 22, 2024.Early in-person voting ends on November 2, 2024.As Cibola navigates its future, these contests will play a critical role in setting the direction for the county.

Early Voting and Absentee Voting

Early In-Person Voting began on October 8, at the Cibola County Clerk’s Office, located at 700 E. Roosevelt Suite 50, Grants, NM.The office will be open for early voting on Tuesdays through Fridays and specific Saturdays through November 2.

Moody’s Ratings Upgrades Cibola County’s GRT Revenue Bonds to A3 and Affirms A3 Issuer Rating

NEW YORK, OCTOBER 03, 2024 -- Moody's Ratings (Moody's) has upgraded the County of Cibola, NM's Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) 2014A and 2014B revenue to A3 from Baa1. Concurrently, we have affirmed the county's A3 issuer rating. The county has $16.2 million of outstanding debt as of June 30, 2023.
