The Grants FFA chapter has competed in their first competition of the year in Farmington. This is the first competition that the chapter has competed in after rechartering. Two members of the chapter have qualified to compete in two other events happening next year. Grants FFA Chapter Competes in Their First Competition After Rechartering

GRANTS, NM – The Grants FFA members competed in their first competition of the year on October 26. The FFA members traveled to Farmington to participate in the New Mexico FFA District I Leadership Development Events (LDEs).
The Cibola Arts Council held a Dia De Los Muertos celebration at the Double Six Art Gallery on November 2. The Council invited members of the community to build ofrendas to honor their loved ones that passed. The celebration included refreshments, and an opportunity to see the ofrendas built. GRANTS, N.M. — Dia de los Muertos (Spanish for, “Day of the Dead”) is celebrated every year on November 1 and 2 to honor and remember family members that have passed away. This year, the Cibola Arts Council decided to hold a small celebration for Dia De Los Muertos at the Double Six Art Gallery.

This handsome kitty is Reese, he is an 8-monthold neutered male, he has all his shots and is already micro-chipped all he needs is a furever home to go to. He loves to play with toys and be cuddled by our staff and volunteers, plus he gets along with other kitties.

In September, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham held a literacy conference where she touted an estimated 4.3 percent growth in literacy rates, based off of preliminary assessment data from 2022-2023. The state celebrated, and yet no proof of this increase has been released to the public.

GRANTS, NM – The City of Grants held their Regular City Council meeting on October 25. During this meeting there was an update on the City Manager search, appointments to executive boards, and multiple time exemptions to NMDOT LGRF agreements.
