SANTA FE - The state’s Cannabis Control Division announced Todd Stevens as the new director of the Cannabis Control Division. Stevens has years of experience working in Colorado’s regulated cannabis industry. Stevens comes to New Mexico from Colorado’s cannabis industry.

Burn Ban Rescinded in Milan

Fire Danger has been reduced to moderate. The Village of Milan has discontinued the burn ban within the Village of Milan limits. As per ordinance #253 citizens, property owners, and businesses must obtain a burn permit from the Fire Department prior to burning.

Grants Police Department arrested Jeanette Jaramillo of Grants twice this week, both times on the alleged charge of trespassing. When she was arrested on August 20, officers allegedly found fentanyl in her pocket.
