GRANTS, N.M. – The City of Grants initiated a water conservation committee that is also developing a drought plan. The mission is focused on developing a strategy that ensures, protects, and improves the community’s water supply and related infrastructure.

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – In the morning of Oct. 6 phones across Cibola County began ringing when the county’s emergency information line, Code Red, sent out a message to inform citizens that evacuations were underway and certain forest roads were being closed off.

CCSO seizes drugs on I-40

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. - A man was travelling from Arizona, presumed by police to have been heading home, when a Cibola County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the early morning of Monday, October 5. The driver fled and the incident ended with the vehicle flipping over.

‘Back the Blue’; Protest leads to a packed park

GRANTS, N.M. – The Cibola County Republican Party held a protest in support of the police, in contrast to protests across the country to defund the police. The protests took place on September 22, with a large crowd in attendance, with elements of limited social distancing and few masks in sight.
