September Lodger’s Tax Meeting Approvals

GRANTS, N.M. - The September 25th lodger’s tax meeting approved funding for the Grants-Cibola Chamber of Commerce, Grants Rodeo Association, New Mexico Mining Museum, and Grants MainStreet.The Grants-Cibola Chamber of Commerce received $4,808.28 for the Rugged West and 4th of July events.

Smoke possible in Grants, Milan, Bluewater, Thoreau; operations contingent on weather CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. — Two burns are prescribed to start within the next two weeks in Cibola, bringing smoke and “wildfire fuel” reduction.

Roberta’s Place Wins Federal Grant to Launch Transitional Housing for Survivors

GRANTS, N.M. — Roberta’s Place has secured a highly competitive federal grant—about $500,000—to establish Cibola County’s first transitional housing program for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking, Executive Director Oshay Jaramillo said in an interview.
