“Pirates Teams Split Week”

District play is in full swing this week as the Grants High School boys’ basketball team, currently 9-10 and 2-2 went 1-1 this week. The lady Pirates (6-14, 1-3) also split last week as both teams start wrapping up their district play this next week.

Pirates Teams Starting District Play

GRANTS, N.M. – The Grants High School basketball teams are coming off a two-week closure due to COVID-19 protocols and are just starting to play their district schedule. Without practices the GHS Pirate basketball teams have been slow to regroup and started their district play slow.

SCHEDULE CHANGES FOR STATE SWIMMING & WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS Adjustments have been made to both the State Swimming & Diving Championships and State Wrestling Championships schedules. Swimming & Diving will now take place Wednesday, February 16th (Boys ONLY) and Saturday, February 19th (Girls ONLY).

Pirates 6-3 headed into the Break

GRANTS, N.M. – The Grants High School boys basketball team is 6-3 as they head into the Christmas break after a 68-45 win over the Shiprock Chieftains this past Wednesday, December 22nd.
