TO’HAJIILEE, NM – US Representative Melanie Stansbury has been fighting to secure federal funding for a new school building at the To’hajiilee Community School since she was sworn into office in 2021.

GRANTS, N.M. – The February 23 Grants City Council Meeting started with the appointment and reappointment of members to various boards, committees, and commissions for the City of Grants. At this meeting, councilors discussed public safety, and implemented new rules for the city parks.
Director Anissa Shaver and Captain Hook played by Cheyenne Vernon stand next to each other as they prepare for opening night of Peter Pan. The production is being put on by the Grants High School Drama Department. Production of Peter Pan runs from March 10 -11 with a 7 pm show time. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and the price is $10. GRANTS, N.M. – In the Grants High School production of Peter Pan, Captain Hook is a woman. Peter Pan, who is historically played by an adult woman, is played by a Grant’s High School newcomer who just “blew us away,” veteran director Anissa Shaver said.

CROWNPOINT, NM – On February 10, 2023, Navajo Technical University received its first Hybrid Vehicle, a Toyota Prius C. The Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive system automatically switches between electric and conventional engine power thanks to fuel-saving technology.
Thanks to dedicated Cibola residents who work at the Grants branch of New Mexico State University, students are less likely to go hungry. This project, called the Aggie Cupboard, aims to help students find a meal and other essentials so they can continue their studies without worrying about their food security situation.
