PUEBLO OF LAGUNA – Rio Rancho, New Mexico man Dennis L. Chavez was arrested on August 16 by the New Mexico State Police who were aided by the Pueblo of Laguna Police Department. Chavez went on an alleged crime spree across New Mexico before finally being caught due to the quick eyes of Laguna PD.

Grants Robbery with a Deadly Weapon

GRANTS, N.M. – Grants Police Department responded to an armed robbery with a deadly weapon that occurred in front of Grants City Hall on June 15 at 12:23 p.m. Officers arrested Leander H. Tolth on scene for Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault (Deadly Weapon), and Disorderly Conduct.

Milan Woman Hit by Train

MILAN, N.M. – A woman was struck by a train in the Village of Milan, New Mexico. The incident occurred on August 2 in between Route 66 and Elkins Road in the village. The woman did not survive the accident.

Cibola’s Drought Conditions Improve

After significant rainfall, drought conditions in Cibola are improving. Breaking from earlier months this year, only 94.77 percent of Cibola County is in a moderate drought.
