Drought Unaffected by Recent Rain

Despite a torrent of recent rain, Cibola County is currently experiencing its seventh worst drought in recorded history. 43 percent of Cibola County is suffering an “Exceptional Drought,” the highest level of drought recognized by the United States federal government.

Fire in San Rafael

SAN RAFAEL, N.M. – Cibola County Sheriff’s Office arrested Alex Roberts, San Rafael, New Mexico resident, after he allegedly burned his house down. After speaking with Roberts, CCSO discovered that he had a warrant for his arrest and took him into custody.

Albuquerque Man Booked into CCCC

The Cibola County Correctional Center is a facility that acts as a jail for Cibola County residents; it is also a holding place for Immigrations and Customs Enforcement detainees; and it is a facility that holds United States Marshal Service detainees.
